C/A Deficit To Widen

BMI View: After contracting in 2009, we see Kenya's current account deficit beginning to widen again in 2010, to US$2.4bn - equivalent to 5.4% of GDP, from an estimated US$1.9bn in 2009. Exports will pick up on the back of a global recovery and higher domestic output, but much higher oil prices will more than counterbalance this.
