Macroeconomic Forecast Botswana

BMI View: The release of Q309 real GDP growth data led us to revise upwardly our 2009 full-year estimate. This has meant that our 2010 forecast has been lowered slightly, due to the fact that it is being measured from a higher base. In spite of these adjustments, our expectation of a V-shaped recovery in 2010 remains intact with real GDP growth forecast to register 4.8% for the year (adjusted down from 5.0%), after a contraction of -5.2% (adjusted up from -6.5%) in 2009.
