BMI View: We are now forecasting real GDP growth of just 0.3% in 2009, with much of the slowdown coming after the first quarter. Next year, we see growth remaining sluggish, at a well-below trend 2.2%. Thereafter, however, the economy should recover, with growth rising above 6.0% thereafter.
