Constitutional Referendum: Assessing The Outcome
March 2011 | Political Risk AnalysisEgypt's political transition took a small step forward on March 19, following the overwhelming approval of a package of constitutional amendments in a public referendum. According to tentative results, out of the 18 million Egyptians who voted, 77% decided to back the proposed changes which had been drawn up by a judicial panel appointed by the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.
