BMI View: Boko Haram represents a significant threat to Nigerian security, as its loose organisation, hard-line ideology and violent tactics complicate diplomatic efforts of pacification. Nevertheless, we believe that the organisation will ultimately be contained, due to its lack of any real public support and the government's experience in dealing with terrorism.
