Tensions Small, But Persistent

Although protests in Oman have been on a relatively small scale, the persistence of them after already-four months leads us to believe that tensions will persist in the near term. Demands will continue to focus on higher wages, jobs and an end to graft, which will sustain the pressure on the government.
