BMI View: While some have hailed improvements in the public sector since the end of Angola's civil conflict, critics still condemn the government's corruption, a lack of responsiveness to social inequities, and a growing disregard for democratic processes. This reputation, and the facts on the ground which give it life, will continue to damage relationships with other countries and many would-be investors if not successfully addressed.
