POLITICAL RISK - SADC Summit Comes To Luanda President José Eduardo dos Santos pledged to make a 'decisive contribution' to plans to reform the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) at the institution's latest summit, held in Luanda on August 24. Dos Santos, who has been handed the rotational chairmanship of the SADC, said he would call on members to harmonise their positions on issues that affect sustainable development and peace preservation in particular, while the Zimbabwean and Malagasy crises would also feature high on the agenda.
