Although the political situation in Libya remains fluid, a scenario whereby the rebels are able to take control of Tripoli and maintain a modicum of security throughout the country will position the economy to quickly rebound following 2011's crisis. Under such a scenario, we would project real GDP expanding by upwards of 10.1% in 2012.
