Finance minister Mustafa Mkulo has said that the government is not in a rush to raise mining taxes and that any change will only happen after discussions with mining companies. Mkulo added that his ministry hopes to come up with new tax rates for the mining industry by the end of the current fiscal year, which will be in June 2012.
