BMI View: We see Ghana's fiscal position as a notable, but not overly worrying, risk to macroeconomic stability following the release of the 2012 budget on November 16, 2011. Although the authorities are overspending in some areas (notably public sector wages), the increase in expenditure is being counterbalanced by strong growth in revenues.
