US oil services firm Halliburton has launched an internal investigation into its Angolan operations after receiving an anonymous email alleging its employees have breached corruption laws. The email claimed that certain current and former employees of the company violated the US Foreign Corruption Practices Act with the help of an Angolan vendor. Halliburton had earlier completed the final bribery probe related to contracts worth US$6bn awarded to a former subsidiary for a Nigerian project.
