President Jacob Zuma is coming under increasing pressure ahead of the governing African National Congress's (ANC) National Conference in 2012. There are many people who supported Zuma's bid for the presidency in 2007 when he ousted Thabo Mbeki as ANC president, on the understanding that Zuma would be a one-term president. Naturally, some of these actors may now feel betrayed as it looks likely that the president will stand again in 2012.
