Violence has intensified in Bahrain between protestors and police following a call on January 20 by Shi'a cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim to 'crush' the police. The protestors carried out an attack on security forces in Shi'a villages outside the capital, reportedly resulting in the killing of at least one person and injuring several others. Meanwhile, the interior ministry claimed that two security officers have been critically injured out of the 41 personnel injured in the clash.
