One Year On: Political Crisis Remains In Full Swing

With the opposition having hitherto shown little willingness to re-start negotiations with the government, most proposals put forth by King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa will continue to fall short of popular demands for greater democratisation, and any lasting solution to the political crisis is likely to prove elusive as a result.
