POLITICAL RISK - Nuclear Talks Fail Iran and six world powers - the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany - failed to secure a breakthrough in talks held in Moscow on June 18-19 on Iran's nuclear programme. Negotiations failed despite the fact that Iran was believed to be in a more conciliatory position prior to talks, given the difficulties which the economy is experiencing as a result of international sanctions. As a result, the risks of a US/Israel military attack against the Islamic Republic are increasing.
