Iran's Ambassador to the UN, Mohammad Khazaee, has accused Israel of carrying out the July 17 suicide attack on a bus in Bulgaria that killed five Israeli tourists and the Bulgarian bus driver, and injured more than 30 people. Meanwhile, Israel's UN Ambassador Haim Waxman has accused Iran of carrying out the attack, and blamed Iran and Hezbollah for carrying out terrorist attacks and attempted attacks on Israelis in countries around the world. Tensions between Tel Aviv and Tehran have been mounting in recent months, particularly as a result of the latter's pursuit of nuclear weapons.
