Sudan

The government of Sudan is seeking to resolve its differences with South Sudan through discussions, according to Ibrahim Ghandour, a senior official in the National Congress Party. Khartoum, however, sees little hope of a swift resolution, believing that South Sudan is providing support to rebels that threaten its territorial integrity. The two countries came close to a full blown-war in April over a border dispute and oil revenues.
