September 2012 | Risk SummaryThe US Agency for International Development (USAID) has signed separate agreements with the Northern Regional Co-ordinating Council and Ghana's district assemblies Saboba and Chereponi for transfer of funds. The resiliency programme seeks to improve health and nutritional status of women of child-bearing age and children less than five years in the regions. The first stage of the programme will educate the beneficiary communities in the two districts on its objectives and will begin to identify low-income families. It will also help them to cope better with droughts or floods and fluctuating food prices.
