Algeria's total foreign currency reserves minus gold came in at US$186.9bn in June, enough to cover 44.9 months worth of imports, which will provide a solid coffer against volatility in global oil prices. We forecast total reserves coming in at US$194.1bn and US$205.8bn at end-2012 and end-2013, respectively, worth 46.7 months of imports this year and 45.0 next year.
