Some Saudi Shi'a, who have faced decades of marginalisation and discrimination, feel politically emboldened by the rise of a Shi'a-dominated government in Iraq. At the same time, many Sunnis are apprehensive about the emergence of Shi'a rule in an Arab neighbour and are concerned that Iran could increase its regional influence as a result.
