May 2006 | Political Risk AnalysisIt's been a long time coming, but it may well have proved worth the wait; Libya's removal from Washington's list of state sponsor of terrorism (leaving a convenient space for newly emerging pariah states such as President Hugo Chavez's Venezuela) is the final act in a process of reconciliation that began as long ago as 1999, when Tripoli first agreed to hand over the suspects in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing for trial in The Hague.
