Fighting graft has now become the Holy Grail of politics, but as is typical of Malawi, personal rivalries and score settling amongst politicians make it difficult to establish what are investigable and legitimate allegations. New heads have been appointed at the Director of Public Prosecutions office and the Anti-Corruption Bureau, but they, like their predecessors, are likely to find bringing well-connected offenders to book almost impossible.
