Macroeconomic Forecast Morocco

July 2006 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

BMI View: Our 2006 forecast for real GDP growth remains unchanged at a strong 5.6%. This is conservative compared to some views, and there remains risk to the upside. Q106 growth came in at 5.7%. We expect 2007 growth to be lower at around 3.5% given the high base and very good harvest this year, although unpredictable agricultural developments will remain key. Likely strong tourism growth as low cost flights really kick off also suggest upside risk.
