Strong Growth Continues In Q206

Latest figures for Q206 support our view of Tunisian real GDP growth coming at around the 5.78% mark this year (TND22.62bn), up from 4.55% last year, boosted by growth in the services and construction sectors in particular. Real GDP growth hovered above 4% year-on-year between 2000-2005 - aside from 2002 when there was a contraction in the agricultural sector - and we expect the annual expansion rate to average above 5% over the forecast period. The economy expanded by 1.36% q-o-q in Q206 - the equivalent of 5.64% y-o-y - up from 1.05% in Q106. In particular, the services sector
