Reformist Qadhafi Junior Departs - For Now

As the son of the leader Colonel Muammar Qadhafi, Seif al-Islam's departure from Libya has raised concerns with regards to the ailing reform process in the North African republic. Qadhafi junior has been a prominent advocate of political and economic change in the country, as well as a sharp critic of the government. In an August meeting where he addressed youth activists, he described the regime as a 'mafia' and called for democratisation.
