The fears of the House of Saud relate to three major concerns. First is the direct security threat in the form of terrorist attacks within the Kingdom. Second is the sectarian dimension of the situation, with a resurgent Shi'a dominated Iraq seen as a destabilising force in terms of Saudi's own Shi'a minority.
