The recent receipt of 30,000 refugees from Somalia and the ongoing instability in Kenya's northern neighbour continue to pose a risk to stability and security in Kenya. Indeed, with the current floods, the country is expecting to receive a further influx of refugees from Somalia. According to Immigration Minister Gideon Konchella, refugees are supposed to stay in designated camps, but thousands have apparently found their way into urban centres, and are threatening security and the environment.
