November 2006 | Macroeconomic ForecastsWe anticipate real GDP growth coming in at 6.0% in 2006 and 2007, though this is from a low base. Oil and diamonds will continue to account for the bulk of exports, although we are expecting the current account to remain in negative territory over the forecast period. Political insecurity will continue to hamper the economic outlook.
