However, public fatigue with further violence against the backdrop of years of civil war and the relatively limited number of active militants in question, suggest that the risk to security and stability should remain subdued. Progress is being made in terms of national reconciliation, with former Islamists declaring their support for the process, and the oil boom has created the resources to effect economic transition in a country which has dangerously high levels
