Latest Q306 figures released by the Institut National de La Statistique show q-o-q growth picked up to 1.8%, up from Q206 q-o-q growth of 1.36%. All sectors aside from agriculture achieved positive growth, with the energy and the mining sectors recording the strongest performance. The economy looks set to achieve more or less our 2006 real GDP growth target of 5.78% and we expect this momentum to continue in 2007 when we expect economic expansion of 5.4%.
