Macroeconomic Forecast Kenya

January 2007 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

BMI View Government statements suggest that real GDP growth may have come in higher than 6% in 2006, above our forecasted 5.1% rate. We are not changing our figures though until official data is released, but we have revised up our 2007 and 2008 forecasts on account of the more bullish data. We now expect economic growth to come in at 5.1% and 4.9%, up from 4.9% and 3.9% in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
