Macroeconomic Forecast Oman
February 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsWe see real GDP expansion of around 4.6% for 2006, but now expect this to slow only to 4.4% in 2007 (as opposed to our previous forecast of 4.1%). Thereafter we see a brief jump back to 4.5% in 2008, as last-ditch attempts to ramp up oil production bear fruit. Downside risks to these forecasts come in the form of lower oil prices or any investment-negative developments.
