March 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsOur latest oil price forecasts have driven us to revise down our projections for Oman's current account balance: we now see it remaining in surplus through 2006 (23.0% of GDP), 2007 (10.4%), 2008 (5.4%) and 2009 (1.0%), before slipping into deficit in 2010 (2.8% of GDP) and 2011 (5.4%).
