It was interesting to see that the 'White List' of Islamists led by Saleh Armouti swept the board in the recent elections for the Jordanian Bar Association (JBA) on March 24. The JBA is an influential organisation in the country, and the development is an interesting indication of the public mood: 7,044 Jordanian lawyers took part in the polls. Zaki bin Rashid, Secretary General of the IAF told the Muslim Brotherhood website that 'the win of the Islamists in the bar association clearly proves that the Jordanians are convinced with the program that the Islamists presented'.
