While geopolitical risks are an ongoing phenomenon in the Middle East, Qatar looks set to remain relatively shielded from any further turbulence that engulfs the region. Qatar's ability to balance regional imperatives with its US alliance is to its credit and serves to enhance its security and domestic stability. GCC concerns regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions are growing, though we see the likelihood of a military attack on Iran by the US or retaliation by Tehran on of its neighbours as very slim.
