Qatari growth should remain robust over the forecast period, expanding at over 6% on average annually, underpinned by diversification efforts and infrastructure development funded by oil revenues. However, with the consumer price measure of inflation registering an average 11.8% y-o-y in 2006, we remain concerned with eroding competitiveness for business and a dampening effect on consumer demand.
