President Robert Mugabe's pet nemesis is the UK government led by Tony Blair, and the old colonial ruler generally, but it is a curious obsession without any rational basis. Mugabe was taught in his early years by British missionaries (he professes to remain a devout Christian, but the country's church leaders hardly agree), obtained several British degrees by correspondence while imprisoned by the pre-independence white regime, one of his eldest daughters is reported to be currently at university in London, and rather unbelievably, is still an honorary Knight of the Realm.
