May 2007 | Risk SummaryOman fares well in our new ratings system, largely as a result of top scores in the policy-making process and policy continuity categories. Clearly, it is one of the most stable countries in the region, with unpleasant surprises highly unlikely. Its score is pulled down slightly by unemployment and inflation, but an improvement in at least the latter category should lead to upside movement in the ratings later in the year.
