Security Still A Concern
May 2007 | Political Risk AnalysisWe expect no major shift in power following the May 17 parliamentary election in Algeria, when the largest party within the ruling coalition, the National Liberation Front (FLN) looks set to retain its majority. While 12,000 candidates and 24 parties will compete for 389 seats, the gravity of power will continue to be mainly centred around the presidency, meaning general policy continuity.
