Lebanon
June 2007 | Ratings UpdateThere has been a return to fighting in Lebanon - the Lebanese army laid siege to Fatah al-Islam, a Palestinian-Syrian militant group, starting May 20 and the conflict still continues. Our ratings for short-term political risk encapsulate this: we give Lebanon a score of only 2 out of 10 for public unrest. We also give Lebanon a relatively low score on security threats: 5 out of 10. A further notable area of weakness is the policy-making process, for which we give Lebanon a dire score of 13.3 out of 100.
