Official talks were held in Muscat on May 28 between President Shaikh Khalifa of the UAE and Sultan Qaboos of Oman. Following the talks, the UAE leader expressed his satisfaction at the steady progress in bilateral ties. The improvement in relations is exemplified by the UAE-Oman e-linking project, started in January this year, which allows citizens to travel more freely between the two countries. The consolidation of bilateral ties is supportive of our relatively high score for the UAE on foreign relations, of 8 out of 10.
