The ongoing case over the Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor sentenced to death in Libya continues to sour relations with the US and Europe. The Libyan Supreme Court has now said that it will rule on July 11 on the appeal made by the defence. Negotiations over a possible deal whereby compensation of the victims' families would see the release of the nurses appears to be continuing with the involvement of Seif al-Islam al-Qadhafi, a key figure in re-orienting Libya back into the international fold.
