October 2007 | Ratings UpdateTwo parliamentary panels investigating irregularities in the health and information ministries will continue their inquiry in spite of the recent replacement of the health and the information ministers. Health Minister Dr Nada Haffadh and Information Minister Dr Mohammad Abdul Gaffar were replaced following the formation of the two parliamentary commissions. The panels were set up to ensure accountability within the government and with the Kingdom scoring a healthy 90.0 in the policy-making process category of our short-term ratings; any further disputes could erode this stability.
