Albeit slowing noticeably, we believe that Angola will remain one of the fastest growing economies in the world over the coming two years, with our 2008 and 2009 real GDP forecasts standing at 15.9% and 13.6% respectively (down from 19.3% in 2006). While the country's external debt burden could represent an increasing problem over time, the current account surplus is forecast to remain very robust, and year-end inflation is expected to decline into single digits from 2008 onwards.
