Macroeconomic Forecast Qatar

Qatar's rising hydrocarbons revenues are allowing it to build up its already considerable foreign exchange reserves. We believe that these reached US$6.6bn at the end of 2007 and with increased gas production coming onstream in 2008, we forecast foreign reserves to hit 8.3mn by year-end, rising to almost US$10bn by the end of 2009.
