We project that the country's current account deficit will remain well in the double digits over our forecast period, with the shortfall expected to come in at 22.81% of GDP in 2008 (down from an estimated 17.8% in 2007). Although FDI inflows are likely to continue covering the deficit in 2008, it will leave the country vulnerable to shifts in investor sentiment towards emerging markets.
