November 2007 | Ratings UpdateA government spokesman recently announced that the army had been put on high alert in expectation of an imminent British military invasion. Apparently, the regime bases its fears on comments made by a retired British general in a UK newspaper to the effect that former prime minister Tony Blair had said to him that "people were always trying to get me to look at it". Such a prospect is preposterous, and Mugabe's reaction would be humorous if it wasn't so indicative of the state of paranoia the regime is in. Anyway, the army is in disarray and suffering from mass
