May 2007 | Ratings UpdateKanu chairman Uhuru Kenyatta has called for the establishment of a National Election Board of ODM-Kenya before presidential aspirants hand in their nomination forms. This suggests to us suspicion on behalf of ODM-Kenya members over the likely transparency of the election procedure, while also highlighting the internal divisions within the party. The establishment of an independent election board would certainly enhance the credibility of the polling process, while also lending greater weight to the party's bid to establish a more independent Electoral Commission of Kenya, ahead of the December polls.
