October 2007 | Risk SummaryThere was a deterioration of relations between the Federal Government and the Government of South Sudan during October, as the dominant force in the south, the former rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army, withdrew ministers from the Federal Government. The former rebels took this move amid what it sees as foot-dragging by the Federal Government over demarcating a North-South boundary and releasing political prisoners.
